This Is Not Hello
Nicole Capobianco's breakout fine art piece 'This Is Not Hello' takes the viewer on a walk through the city from the perspective of women occupying several identities. The work explores how women street artists in New York City are responding to the harassment they receive while moving through the public sphere. It asks us to question the signs and symbols of the streets as being a male dominated space and asks us to reclaim the historical powers of women.
